  1. Because Monday's session of the Public Inquiry did not make as much progress as hoped, it will resume half an hour earlier, at 9.30am on Tuesday 12 February. Witnesses for the applicant are still giving evidence, including several "extra" local people who came along and asked to speak.

  3. We had witness statements from some of Willesden Green's most indomitable citizens. Questioning from opposing Counsel focused on fine detail: "Where exactly did you park your mother's wheelchair?". "How many times did you visit the space in 2009?", "Which flower bed retaining wall did you sit on?" Much discussion about sitting on pointed walls. Their strategy seems to be to establish minimal use, suggest that the space was used in transit rather than as a destination in itself and not used for the purposes deemed valid in the legislation. Using the notes from the Remarkable PR consultation they try to prove that the witnesses had not previously used the loss of the open space as an issue, with the implication that raising it now is just a way of delaying or undermining the developer's plans and not a real concern about the loss of the public space. The notes from the consultation were not of course verbatim.

The above is a personal observation and does not necessarily reflect the views of KWG
