I was not at Willesden Green this morning (I was working on some of the legal material for the "Town Square" TVG Public Inquiry on Monday) but the information I received about the Site Visit by Planning Committee said that 'at the end of the visit, the applicant and a representative of the objectors may briefly draw Members attention to any aspect of the site that is relevant'.
I note from this video that Beth Kay was present at wglc. She is not a member of the Planning Committee, and I doubt that she was there as a representative of the objectors. Is she finally admitting that Brent is "the applicant"? She and other Brent Council Officers have been denying that Brent is the "joint applicant" with Galliford Try for the past year, but perhaps I have been right all along in saying that they are. Philip Grant.
Thank you for this information. Chris Walker and Andy Bates can justify being there, as they can be classed as "neutral" Planning Officers simply guiding the Planning Committee on their visit. Beth Kay must have been there on behalf of "the applicant".
Tad presumptuous - i'd imagine anyone - for, against, neutral or otherwise just having a general interest in the application, could justify being there and hearing what's being said

Chris Walker, Beth Kay and Andy Bates were all there. Chris Walker did most of the talking.

DeleteDear Anonymous,
DeleteYou may be right. I suppose that it is just what we have experienced over the past year that makes us take a suspicious view of events. Best wishes,
Philip.
